Weasel on a Woodpecker

A classic photograph, of which I was reminded by Weird Dave on the Ace of Spades Overnight Thread.

The story behind the woodpecker-riding weasel

at EARTH TOUCH NEWS: “As much as we’d love to say this weasel is embarking on an epic journey atop his very own luck dragon, what Le-May actually witnessed was a failed attempt at lunch.”

Listen To Your Gut Feelings

On Wednesday, Koeberle Bull of Lumberton, N.J., woke up to a racist message on Facebook from a man in Kentucky. “It was really vulgar — he called my kids the N-word and hoped terrible things for them,” Bull tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

The mom of three biracial children, ages 16, 11, and 8, was especially concerned about the man’s profile picture in which he showed off a gun, so, going on a “gut feeling,” she called her local police station and filed a report. …

Local and state police followed the mom’s tip, and on Thursday, officers drove to the home of a 20-year-old man named Dylan Jarrell, just as he was leaving his house with more than 200 rounds of ammunition, a bulletproof vest, a firearm, a 100-round high-capacity magazine, and a “detailed plan of attack.” He was headed toward two school districts in Anderson County and Shelby County

Mansize Kleenex

‘Mansize’ Tissues Rebrand ‘Large’ after Feminist Twitter Complaints — Breitbart

LONDON (AP) — Kleenex will re-brand its “Mansize” tissues after consumers complained the name was sexist — touching off a social media conversation about what’s in a name.

We used to buy these decades ago, then they seemed to disappear. I searched online a few years ago and was surprised to discover they were still being sold in the UK.

I appreciated the larger size because I always grab two regular size tissues.

To blow my nose!

Not to take this blog into the roiling, boiling political waters, but I figure if the unofficial chaplain of Ace of Spades found this amusing, it’s safe enough.

Dragon Energy

I know I swiped featured a pic from Bookworm’s Japan tour, just a few days back, but I had to feature this dragon. You should see the rest of the pics.

After a couple of hours of much-needed rest, we hit the Osaka nightlife. Las Vegas will, forever more, look staid and boring by comparison.
